FAQ

No, skates are not required to play floor hockey and you are allowed to skate around on blades or quads without picking up a stick to play. Protective gear is strongly encouraged!

One of our main goals is to make hockey affordable. Bring what you can and we will work with our community partners to outfit your little Gretzky.

That’s great, there is a place for you! We are working to find the right staff of volunteer coaches to show newbies the ropes on quads (roller skates) or inlines (aka roller blades). Get a group together and skate with us!

Our interest-generating events are free or low-cost. That’s us trying to get the word out and give the community a chance to try hockey or skating no obligation. Classes and programs will have prices that are manageable in consideration to our community and the activity being taught. Discounts are available to McAllen residents at McAllen city facilities as well as deals for families with multiple participants!

MSP – Hockey Pavillion is the only hockey specific roller rink in all of South Texas. That being said we can teach primary hockey skills all over the place. Hockey camps can be held on concrete basketball courts or inside tiled elementary gyms. Message us about how we can bring the sport to your RGV community, big or small.
